get number of rows from MySQL

Hi everyone, how can i get the updated number of rows from MySQL? Because i need the syntax to do the calculations on the number of inputs, thanks....

use count to know how much rows in column.

VB.NET Syntax (Toggle Plain Text)
select count(*) from tableName
select count(*) from tableName
