Vb.net 2005 and new to this forum

Expand Post »
Hi everyone!!!

I'm new to programming in vb.net and have just created my first game. I need help in being able to use midi files in it but having trouble because I always get an exception error of some sort. Is there something that needs to be done in my IDE? Or is there a specific library I need to import.

What I am using is

imports microsoft.directx
imports microsoft directx.audiovideoplayback

dim midfile as audio= new Audio("path to filename")
midfile.play()
end sub

The regular methods don't seem to work. What am I doing wrong?

Why are you using html to write a post? lol. If you hold your mouse over his first line the tooltip shows all of what he typed, its not all showing up.
