How to start with VB.net

I am new to VB.net. I want to start with small project on VB.net.
User will we working on client system.

Please help me how to start.

I don't understand it.

If you need a simple project to learn VB.NET through, I suggest to develop multi-user phonebook.

the only way to start is to start reading and messing with some of this stuff yourself. you can get visual studio for free if you don't have it which is great for beginning.
