Deleting from Random Access File?

hi there!

Does anyone knows how to delete from Random Access File?

I know how to add records in Random Acess File and then display in List box. Once i search the Product ID, i want to then delete that record from Random Access File.

My teacher told me you need two files and then you do something update this and that..... dont know its confusing......... :rolleyes:

Can anyone help me out plz.

I too am having problems with deleting a record from a RAF. My teacher told me the way to do it was to create a new file, copy all the records from the old file into this new file EXCEPT the 'deleted' ones, and then rename the new file as the old file. As of yet, I have not succeeded in achieving this. Does anyone have any code examples handy on how to go about doing this?
