Does AutoCad 14 support COM object?

I have AutoCad 14 and I am trying to use VB .NET to automate printing of some AutoCad file to a PDF. The old program (which I didn't write) used to do it using DDE. Since, .NET doesn't support DDE what can I do? Do I need to upgrade my AutoCad version? From which version of AutoCad it supports COM object? I never done anything with AutoCad.

Please Help!
