Instead of creating separate pictures for the head/arms and legs. Do this:
Everytime you get a letter wrong, clear the current drawing and just upload the next one. So you will have a series of pictures like below.
So just to be clear, you not overlaying any bitmap files on top of the previous ones. You're just create entire new ones. Each frame slightly different from the previous one.
