Word automation query

Expand Post »
Hi All,

I have a small application written in VB6 that outputs a list of words, one per line, to a Word document.

By default the font size I use is 60 points, which is fine, as I don't mind the text takes up as many pages as needed, as these will be printed out and pinned to a wall.

An occasion has risen whereby I need to be able to make the outputted list fit to a single page.

To begin with, i'm not to bothered if the font is decreased so that all the words appear in one column on the page, eventually I will look at creating multiple columns of required and maybe even page orientation.

What I'm looking for is some advice on how I can go about determining what the font size needs to be ensure everything fits on a single page, but makes maximum use of the length of the page.

Hope that makes sense.

Regards,

Mark
