Help with creating a Calendar!!

Expand Post »
How should I go about creating a calendar?

I am creating an application for a client that requires a calendar similar to the one found in Microsoft Works.

The client needs to be able to add an appointment or special event and that event visible be displayed on the day specified. Also, it would be nice if the client could click on the various appointment already created in order to edit and/or make changes to the date, time, etc.

Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. I have tried importing the Calendar 10.0 control to my toolbox, but I cannot figure out how to edit the control to fit my look and needs. It may not be editable, I just don't know.

Re: Help with creating a Calendar!!

You can download a text calendar I wrote from my web site
http://thunder.prohosting.com/~oasys/frameex1.htm

on the files page.

I also used the following in an accounting program as a "reminder" file

put "boxes" accross the screen with sunday - saturday as heasings.
Use Sunday.fil, monday.fil etc to store actual info.
print the first few words of each file (is appicable) in the appropriate box.
if they put the cursor in that box and press enter, they can edit that file.
