How to fetch the NATIVE resolution of attached monitor from EDID ?

HI
I am trying to fetch the NATIVE resolution of the monitor through a VB 6.0 program. I know it can be done by using a WMI ( CIM_VideoControllerResolution )

Although i can use it in c/c++, i am new to VB 6.0 and so having problems in implementing it.
