How to put a limited input in a textbox

i would like to know hot to put a limited input in a textbox..
situation is like this
i put a textbox in a form then what i would like to happen is to accept only 2 number and will not accept the following number that is being pressed...please help...
newbie here!

use of MaxLength property of textbox and set it to 2

it will solve the issue
