Hello, Try the Acer web site as
Packard
Bell is a Dutch computer manufacturer and a subsidiary of Acer. They may have some docs. Probably an MS-Dos system able to run Windows 3.0 or 3.1 if I remember correctly.

It's ok, I worked it out, so I thought I'd post the resolution incase anyone else was wondering. Take the keyboard off the front (pop a credit card or something into one of the sides, then where you can actually see it pinned along the top, gently press with a screwdriver and it will pop it free) and unpin the keyboard, then there is literally an …

Hi Lundi, Once you have removed the keyboard you will see a guide basically printed on the metal plate underneath, it explains what screws need to be taken out and then there is a small hole to push the screwdriver into that will make the whole bottom of the netbook pop out. If you look at this image here: [url]http://www.flickr.com/photos/…

if you've installed anything new on the laptop recently, remove it, try again. If you have the windows cd you could also try booting from it and trying the repair options. As a last resort try get the data off and look at formatting.

DONT PANIC Your data is probably safe. However you will need to "Mount" the drive in another machine so that you can extract your data BEFORE you try anything else. The BSOD (blue screen of death) at the point described is usually down to either a memory issue, hardware failure or a corruption on you hard drive. Whatever you try …

Most of the time when HP USB Printers have issues on windows98, you can correct it by unplugging the printer, boot the computer into safe mode, and make sure the printer is no longer in the device manager, if it is, remove it, then re-install the printer according to the directions above.

Start->settings->Printer: Are there any printers installed? If so, delete them an try again. Also, after connecting the printer to the PC via USB (try different USB slots), check the device manager if there are any unknown devices found. Michael
