Automatically query users that belong to a group

  #1
Apr 18th, 2008
Hey all. I am new to the world of Novell.

I am trying to create a script that will query Novell for a list of users that belong to a certain group. Currently, someone uses BindView to make a query and compiles all of their queries into one spreadsheet. Would it be possible to create a script to make the same queries BindView does, and have the script place the results into a spreadsheet?

Essentially, I want to eventually get rid of having to repeatedly run queries with BindView and have the script automatically run on a schedule.

I wanted to get your thoughts on 1) How do to this if it is possible. 2) What scripting language is recommended? 3) Resources that will be of help. 4) Any other information that is relevant.

Thank-you in advance for your help!
