Changing the way a file opens

  #1
Jun 26th, 2008
Hey guy,

I need some help with some command line stuff. I'm totally stuck.

On the MAC (leopard) how can I change, via the command line so I can push these changes across the network, microsoft word 04 ONLY to open .doc files and microsoft word 08 ONLY to open .docx files?

Any incite or help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I've already looked at perl scripts and I've been trying to edit/use the launch services database but I come up with nothing every time.

Please hook me up if you can!

Thanks a million!

Scott
