sed help Hi can anybody help me in understanding this sed -e "1,/^%!ab-cdef$$/d;s/\.#@%&\*)/\)/g" > file.txt

delete every line from the first line to the exact line
%!ab-cdef$, and on the rest of the lines change any occurence of the following character sequence .#@%&*) to ) Java Programmer and Sun Systems Administrator
