Help Error loading C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll

  #1
Aug 25th, 2004
Hi I have scoured the various articles to solve this problem but no-one else seems to have the same degree of difficulty (i.e no internet access at all). I run Win XP and currently cannot access the internet at all although my ISP tells me I am "visible" via my broadband connection - I have a router and am using my laptop for this.

The problem began after I ran Spyware Killer - I have AD Aware professional aswell and subsequently have installed and run SpySweeper but even this cannot seem to rid me of the line as per the scan below

"O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll",Load"

Sadly Norton is only half loaded as it aborted midway through instllation and has not allowed me to complete installation since then - my current difficulties arose more recently.

The PC - a Dell Optiplex - seems OK for all other applications but not the net. Any help would be appreciated very much as I am the recipient of much flak from others in the family re this.

I had paid for support from PC Medics but they have gone bust recently so no luck there either.

Remove the following if you do not resolve it yourself:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll",Load
