what?

are you saying you are modifying the web config file in microsoft.net/framework/v2.0.50727/config ?

it needs to be the web config file in the directory for iis

Well, as I told you I didn't know what I was doing. Ha, i knew i must have been doing something wrong, thank you I'm sorry it took so long to point out my mistake.

Thats where my IIS 6.0 book told me to go. windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\config which is the default...?

I figured it out. I actually needed to configure the machine.config file because there was no web.config file configured for the application. Thanks so much for your help.
