passowrd authontication .net and soap

now that i have the site set up with an authentication
it seems that i have to use a soap service to authenticate the passwords against.

so i guess i'll need to use the .net login page i have pass the information over to soap string somewhere and take a verification 0,1 back

i think that’s the way its going to work anyway
anyone have any experience or tutorials on similar stuff

i want to be able to look at something before i start to grab some ideas.
