Hide address bar in .aspx pop-up

Hello,

I have a popup form that is coded in .aspx, currently we have the address bar hidden in the form popup using Javascript. This works fine in IE but the address bar shows in Chrome and Firefox and we would like it hidden.

What coding techniques/ workarounds are out there to get this working? I welcome all suggestions except the ones that say "this is not a good idea". If you feel very very strongly that it is not a good idea, please explain in detail as I have to explain this to a team of individuals. Thank you all in advance!

This behaviour is by design.

Can you explain what you mean by that? Do you mean that Chrome and Firefox intentionally want the address bar there?
