Right now my company uses Crystal Reports for report documents. We are running into HUGE errors and limitations that we need to get rid of.

Anyone have any suggestions for Crystal reports alternatives?

We have a somewhat unique deployment patter, our customers all use our application on their own local intranet, maintaining their own servers. So licensing would have to allow us to do this easily.

SSRS Reports is a good alternative to Crystal reports and you can design reports as required.

For more information:
Simple steps for SSRS reports(Example): http://nileshpupadhyay.blogspot.com/2008/05/simple-steps-for-developing-ssrs-report.html

You must start from this article on how SSRS can be implemented in web applications:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms153697%28SQL.100%29.aspx

SSRS isn't applicable for our setup, we also offer a hosted solution where all of the hosted instances share a single SQL instance, and licensing for SSRS through SQL is per instance, not per database.

But thanks for your suggestion.

You may want to give Active Reports 6 a try,it offers exception reporting capabilities and is supported on SilverLight ,Web Forms and WinForms. You can also extend its capabilities to WPF and LightSwitch as well. You can get more information on Active Reports 6 here.Active Reports Licensing is a very simple process and it will work under the environment that you have mentioned.

Here are a few links from the Active Reports 6 Blog which have some description about :
