Java Virtual Machine Problem

Hi Everyone,
I am really new to cf and I am trying to understand this software. I am trying to setup my dsn. now when i try to go to cf administrator and select data source option, it pops up an error message that there is no java virtual machine installed in my computer. I try to follow the link just to find out where to get this jvm but i was failed. can anybody help me to make my cf 6.1 work?. what should i do. pls guide me.

Sound like the ColdFusion administrator cannot locate the java files on your system. Is this a developers version of ColdFusion? What OS are you running ColdFusion on? Do you know if a Java Virtual Machine is installed on your system?

Torch7 is correct - You most definitely don't have JVM installed. It's bundled with the ltaes JREs from SUN.

Get it here: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Unfortunately MS dont bundle their VM with OSs any more...

:D
