Document Management System for your PC or website?

Guys I'm more than familiar with all the CMS out there but I want something more, a document management system. I write documents in word but need a way to organize them online or offline. I then take the content of the documents and put them in my CMS but I need a way to organize all these word files.
No one has posted to this discussion for at least three months. Please let old threads die and do not reply to them unless you feel you have something new and valuable to contribute that absolutely must be added to make the discussion complete. Otherwise, please start a new thread in this forum instead.
