online room reservation database design

Hi there,
I am designing database for a room reservation website. I have designed database such as:
RoomDetail(RoomNo#,RoomType,RoomStatus)
RoomTypeDetail(RoomType#,Description,rent)

Now I want reservation which handles for any pre-booking, on the spot booking. What modification is required in RoomDetail or a new database ......
I am really confused
Pl I am looking for help.

I would recommend a new table that has fields to track the following:

Room, Customer, Check-In Date, Check-Out Date
