hello I am new to sql and database design. I am looking for to learn diffrent ways of designing them and making them efficent. any tips or hints will be appreciated.

can start with Oracle 9i complete reference,a good book for begineers.
Also start with Developers2k, an excellent for beginners in triggers,cursors & some basics of SQL
