create user groups in MS SQL

can some one provide me with a tutorial in creating user group in ms sql and assigning users to that group appreciate a lot thanks

Old tutorial and they call them roles now, unless you are talking about server clusters.

ahh ok
so say that i created a user group with Level1 Users for a database AAA in the server, now how do i assign users for that created user group in the server?

do i have to handle it from the client end???
