Has anyone attempted virtualizing Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 using VMWare or MS Virtual Server? I've heard from others in the field that they wouldn't virtualize a database server relating to high availablity restrictions. We know for sure that we will virtualize our web servers, mail, and possibly domain controllers. Just wondering if anyone has a good reason to virtualize SQL or not to.

Thanks in advance

I don't see any good reason for that except leak in resources but in anyway or any reason virtualization leads to leak in performance
