ODBC configuration

Well, i am facing this problem when i try to configure my ODBC 3.51 Driver.
I had successfully installed MySQL. Then i try to install and configure my ODBC 3.51 driver. I add a new user DSN, filling with the correct username and password, with the data source name. However when i scroll down for the database, i geth the error message as shown.:
Request returned with SQL_ERROR
I already turn off my firewall. Anyone can help? Thanks.

hi,

on your ODBC configuration dialog you can activate that detailed ODBC debug information has to be written to log file. Then start your program using mysql over odbc and post the contents of that log file.

IN INSTALLING MYSQL THERE IS A PART THAT YOU HAVE TO ENTER THE ROOT PASSWORD RIGHT? in my case i enter 1234 for the password

SO YOU CAN USE root as Username and Password = 1234

host = localhost

try to test connection,

or create a new user using MsySql Administrator

and use it for the username and password, okey?
