Query Based Report Parameter Problem

I have a report based on a query that uses parameters (Date datatype). In the report header I have some other data that is also generated using the parameters (Same parameters). This data is generated programatically and I use a dialog box with date in it. Now, I want to make the report ask for date once the first time and then use that date for the query as well. How can I do this?

Solved it my self by storing the date in hidden labels and then making the query take the captions of the labels as parameters.
