im using ms acces 2005 and sql developer. im not too sure on the version i'll have to check.
ive tried to find tool, but at the moment have not had any luck, can you please advise on some?

The versions matter. For example, if you have SQL 2008 installed, there is an import/export utility you can use to easily import an access database. see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms140052.aspx
