I'm sorry about posting this again, but as I said I'm on a deadline, and I'm sure there's someone out there that can help me...

I am using a dhtml "Image Slideshow", and I was really happy with I customized its layout to my needs, and it runs perfectly on FF and on IE (wich is very important for me, since in my country most of people still use IE). Check it here

However, when I insert the slideshow in my design, it stops working on IE (working in perfection on FF):
Please check it here

I am using the original slideshow file in an iframe...

(before I tryed to paste the code directly into the page, but it didn't worked, so I thought using an iframe would work, because the code of the original document would be intact)

Any sugestions on how to solve this problem??

Please do help me figure out this...

Thank SO you much,

Ana

I took a look and it looks like you've solved it?

Ok, I'm very excited... I found where the problem is, BUT i really need your expertees help to solve it!

I copyed the root folder of my site, into a "test" folder, so that I could do experiments without messing with the original files. However I totally forgot to add the folder "Scripts", wich Dreamweaver generates when we insert a flash file into our html document.

...and without that "Scripts" folder, the slideshow works!! (however, of course, every single flash I have on that site stops working)

So now we know that somehow the "AC_RunActiveContent.js" script (that is in folder "Scripts" in the root of the site), messes up with the "image-slideshow.js" script (that is in the folder "js" located at html/js) - but only when those scripts are in use at the same hmtl page, because the slideshow just doesn't work inside the iframe (on IE only as far as I know)

That said, is there any change anyone will help me now?... Please??

Thank you so much,

Ana

Can anyone please tell if there's a workaround for this?

Here is the code for both scripts:

Okay, first the reason I thought you'd solved it is because I had no probs viewing both links using ie8.

Looking at the code above, there seem to be no naming conflicts. It could be that
1. Your flash script is changing the relative path of the page
2. Your browser stops processing scripts when an error is encountered (the error might be in either script).

I'd suggest you use a debugging technique such as below:

function globalError() {
            // build your error string
            var foo="\r\n" + arguments[0] + " in " + arguments[1] + " at line " + arguments[2];
	// display your error string (change to document.write if you don't like the popups.
	alert(foo);
        }
	// stick this at the top of your page somewhere.
        window.onerror = globalError;
