learning PHP as a programming language

Hi all,

I'm a C developer, familiar Java, C++, C# .

I'm into PHP now. Trying to find a good material, I read several which served PHP in do-this-do-that manner.

I'm looking for a good book about PHP as a programming language. I mean, for example, really explaining the typing approach, that there are types but implicit, and such.
