mysql_connect is not working

mysql_connect is not working though mysqli_connect is working.

Both are enabled in configuration file.

If I use this

localhost:/tmp/mysql5.sock

instead of localhost then it works.

As i m not able to understand Ur prob clearly. So for the same,you can use die()function to understand the mysql error while connecting....

i admit with monica singh.

you should have to use die() function on query running time.
