Hi there, recently I've became interested in creating some scripts to automate certain tasks and procedures in an online game I play, Lord of Ultima.

This is a web based game that requires you to maintain a connection at all times in order for you to receive data from the servers.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to how I could go about doing this? I have worked with cURL before but never for this kind of connection, only to maintain a simple cookiejar to keep me logged in to a website.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
