phpBB database incompatibility (php-nuke)

Expand Post »
Hi everyone! Nice forum you have here, I was looking for a forum like this for a long time.

I have an important issue.
We had a website and a stand-alone phpBB forum script.
Today, the guys wrote a whole new website based on php-nuke cms, with included forum. The problem with it is that the sql entries for the phpBB included in php-nuke are different and it's not possible to import the backups in the new engine. We've been posting for about an year and now we have to start the forum back from scratch. I'd like to get a link or some help if anyone has encountered the same problem!

Thank you!

Re: phpBB database incompatibility (php-nuke)

Maybe the two forums run on different versions?

If that is the case, put the version of phpBB that you have to your enstablished forum, and then upgade the new one.

Re: phpBB database incompatibility (php-nuke)

The versions are different. I will check and try to figure out something. I had the boys to send me the sql backup and to give me the files, but they didn't. Have a nice day everyone!
