missing ) after argument list in js

hello, i have this code

$divToSubjectShow = "<div id='subjC".$subId."'><div class='boxC'>".$subName."<span onclick='delTempSubject(subjC".$subId.")'>X</span></div></div>";

to store in div innerHTML with js and i get this error

missing ) after argument list

any idea?
