If you want a free one, here's a nice list of names:

  • Drupal
  • Geeklog
  • Mambo Open Source
  • PHP-Nuke
  • phpWCMS
  • phpWebSite
  • Post-Nuke
  • Siteframe
  • Typo3
  • Xoops

Sorry if I can't give you links, just Google them, that'll be fine.

Erm... im confused... Mambo is free software! In both senses of the word!

Also, if you can wait a few months, i am developing a CMS... http://keefe.hyspex.com

Does "overly budget" mean it doesn't have enough features - ie cheap and nasty?

Mambo does alot. What was it missing?

Im as confused as you are sarahk. I thought maybe he meant it was too expensive... im a bit tired lol ;)

I'm using MKPORTAL for both my new sites: LOSERITIS and Make It Last Forever.

This portal can be integrated to several popular forums namely: vbulletin, Invision Powerboards, SimpleMachine and phpbb.

Overly budget means not enough funds.

Overly budget means not enough funds.

Mambo is free to share and change

Mambo is free, there are lots of free add ons, templates etc. How over your budget could that be?

hey buddy,
if you dont like any of the above free CMS.
we can develop it for you.

let me know your website and budget.

abhishek

When looking for CMS most importantly you have to look for two things.

1. Are you going to use template and modify Joomla or similar free cms to suit your needs.

2. Using something like Instant Update that integrates into existing website.
