is it possible to programmatically navigate a website without actually accessing it? can you click buttons, check boxes and dropdowns without actually visiting the website?

what im trying to do is access a website and do some clicking of the buttons and checkboxes without actually visiting the site..i can just access it programmatically..is this even plausible?
