You'll need to define that subdomain in DNS. Check with your DNS provider, or if you are the DNS admin, log onto your DNS console and create that sub-domain. Map that sub-domain to the IP address of your web server.
For your web site configuration, the actual steps for the redirection will depend on what you are hosting on, but as pritaeas indicated, a redirection is required.
