Is there anyone who hired freelancer for project(s) to be done? If so please tell me what are the difficulties you have faced while working with them?

Thanks!

  • Keeping in touch. Hiring someone you only know via email is impossible to track when he decides to no longer respond.
  • Language. If your freelancer is from another country communicating may be difficult in both text and speech.
  • You need to find someone who understands what you want to build. Proven past experience in the same field may be required.
  • You need to keep a tight leash, to be sure parts are delivered on time and as per requirements.
  • You need to know exactly what you need, and you need to know how to explain it clearly. If you can't explain it, (s)he can't build it.
  • Make a contract so it's clear to both parties what is expected and when which parts get paid at what price.

Yes you are right. Actaually everything has it's pros and cons.
