MySpace DIV Help Needed!!

Hello all. I have a very annoying problem with my band's MySpace page. It's DIV heavy, of course, and I've usually been able to correct problems like these by just messing endlessly with the code, but this problem just won't go away.

All the DIVs are in their proper place in both Internet Explorer and Firefox, but we have a video in a DIV on our page that just WILL NOT load in the right place in Firefox or Safari. Looks perfect in Internet Explorer.

I know browsers read things differently, but all the other DIVs on the page load fine in both browsers, but nothing I do to this particular DIV seems to make it go into the right place in Firefox or Safari.

Constructive criticism (the page looks good):
Forget about the video. Try to trim some of that bandwidth down.

You guys must have some dedicated fans, to wait on that page to load. More is not always better. If a fan visits the page with dialup (approximately 40 kb/s), it's going to take him/her 25 seconds just to download that 900+kb background image. Top that off with videos, streaming audio, html comments, other images...your looking at a 2-3 minute load time for your page. That's way too much. It took close to a minute for me over broadband!

I don't know if your into statistics, but the more bandwidth your page consumes, the higher the probability that the user will not wait around. Other bands are just a click away.

The page loads in under a minute on virtually every machine we've tested it on. We're not real concerned with the dial-up crowd. Any big band's MySpace is just as graphics heavy. Your advice on bandwidth is cute and all, but could you point out to me how exactly that relates to the DIV problem?

Absolute positioning is a great way to cause browser incompatibilities, because they don't agree on where the absolute positioning starts.

Don't use either pixels or absolute positioning if you want browser compatibility.
