How do I add music to a Adobe Flash?

Does the music have to be a certain type, such as mp3 or mp4? The Flash file is simply an animation.

Thank you!

Edit: Sorry for the misspelling!!! I meant, "an Adobe Flash file," not "a Adobe Flash."

Yes, Make your audio as an mp3. In two modes you can play your mp3 files.

i) By including in the Timeline and play as an stream audio.
Means: Play even its not fully loaded.
ii) By including in the Timeline and play as an event.
Means: Play only if its fully loaded

You can load your mp3 from externally too.

One thing to note about Rajarajan's solution that may not have been completely obvious...

As it needs to be a 'timeline' item (streaming or otherwise) it will only play for the duration of the timeline segment it is contained within.
