How do i stream video on my website?

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I need to build a website which will display a streaming window when a link is clicked and stream video files saved in a different location. I am a little clueless about multimedia and web development so any help or code examples would be very much appreciated. I am building the site in c# Visual Studio.
