Re: website distorted in Firefox browser

I didn't see any issue displaying your homepage in Firefox. If you're still experiencing the same problem, consider clearing your browser (Firefox) cache. That can be done by clicking Tools ---> Clear Private Data ---> Cache.

Re: my website displays distorted in Firefox but correctly in IE

I don't see it either.

What I would do though:
Scale down the header or just get rid of it. It takes up over half the page! Also, maybe a white background.
Just my opinion

Everyone keeps saying they don't see a problem when they look at the site in Firefox??? <URL SNIPPED> However, if you compare it to how the site looks and works in Internet Explorer you will see the problems! First of all the picture of the guy in handcuffs does not display, second the navigation is changed from blue upon a cream blackground to blue upon a black background that is hard to read, and third on some pages the background changes from black to white. Everything displays correctly in Internet Explorer, but looks and functions differently in Firefox. I don't know how to fix this and would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. I am pretty desperate to make this site look the same in Firefox as it does in Internet Explorer and to understand why it doesn't in the first place.

I think you should make your question a little more specific.
because there are lots of tips and notes to design a cross-browser website.

Don't put size styles (width, height) and nonzero surrounding styles (margin, border, padding) in the same tag and/or stylesheet style.
