Issue with resizing semi transparent pngs in IE8/7

Expand Post »
Hi,
I've created a test page which shows a very strange issue in ie8/7.
Works fine in FF.
A semi transparent png (opacity + alpha opacity set) is overlaying another png.

It works fine but as soon as the image is changed from its original size then a horrible black outline is pasted around the non transparent areas.

I've tried png24/8 and also gifs and they all show the same problem....

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance..

Re: Issue with resizing semi transparent pngs in IE8/7
The software is inserting pixels interpolated in colors between the colors of the pixels you have in the image when it does the resize. Such software does not know that you have chosen a certain pixel color to represent transparent. Did you choose black?

You usually cannot resize an image containing transparency.
