Word-wrapping in CSS

Expand Post »
I am not so great with CSS, though I do know most basic stuff. To the point, I created an all-css website a few weeks ago titled, "JC-McGeekster's first all CSS website." And, unfortunately, I had a bizzare problem with word-wrapping within my DIVs. Yes, I have set a width on them, I have tried the one "white-space: word-wrap;" command or whatever it is, and much more. However, it seems that whatever I wish to do, these DIVs continue to expand as more text flows into them and moves toward the edge.

For now, I have used breaks where my browser and resolution sees them fit. But I know that putting breaks (<BR> tags) will not be seen fit in everyone's browser and monitor resolution.

Any help here would be appreciated. I just want to add word-wrapping to a DIV in CSS, and thanks.
