I am looking for a new laptop. My budget is around 700 $.I require the laptop for programming mainly.I would like to have i5 processor with 4gb + ram.
I would like to save as much money as possible without compromising on these requirements and quality .I don't care for looks .
I would like to know which company SONY /TOSHIBA/DELL will be better for me based on the criteria of configuration, quality ,longevity and price.
Please give detailed answers with justification.

Jump to PostWay more than 99 dollars they are like £100 to £150 here.
Jump to Postdell, i guess is having this bad battery life issue. other than this issue, both are good.
Jump to PostDell is alright for desktop computers, they have good bargains and you can hand pick it all.
However, Toshiba is far superior on laptops. They build really solid machines, and their consumer service is great. At least, that's been my experience, a grain of salt.
Jump to PostDell will offer you good laptop & service.
Jump to Postthey still make 32 bit laptops? I seriously, seriously, doubt that.
64 bit has been the standard in hardware for close to a decade, in software for 6-7 years.
