Looks like you are still badly infected.

Please download ComboFix by sUBs from HERE or HERE

  • You must download it to and run it from your Desktop
  • Physically disconnect from the internet.
  • Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
  • Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it will produce a log. Please save that log to post in your next reply along with a fresh HJT log
  • Re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix..

Note:
Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

I would suggest downloading silentrunners also www.silentrunners.org it will run in the background and then it can generate a report for you.

SR is an excellent tool that one can use when there are no visible signs of infection in the hijackthis log.
In this instance, hijackthis has revealed the culprits.

okay, here is the log from combofix....

i hope that u have some good news...:-)

Illegal music sharing will always get you in trouble with viruses! I saw limewire in there! I would remove any p2p sites immediatly and then delete it from the registry also. Do you know how to delete in the registry without destroying your pc?

Can you please do the following.

===============

Scan with HijackThis and then place a check next to all the following, if present:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {879DB824-7F6B-43A8-8D0B-6F9AF6B9DA43} - C:\Windows\system32\ljJDVnlK.dll (file missing)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {AA58ED58-01DD-4d91-8333-CF10577473F7} - (no file)

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {2318C2B1-4965-11d4-9B18-009027A5CD4F} - (no file)

O4 - Global Startup: APC UPS Status.lnk = ?

O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Programs\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\RunApp.exe
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Programs\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\RunApp.exe

Now, close all instances of Internet Explorer and any other windows you have open except HiJackThis, click "Fix checked".

===============

Locate and delete the following item(s), if present. Make sure you are able to view system and hidden files/ folders:

folders...

C:\Programs\PartyGaming

-

Note that some of these file(s)/folder(s) may or may not be present. If present, and cannot be deleted because they're 'in use', try deleting them in Safe Mode by doing the following:

  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear.

Select the first option to run Windows in Safe Mode hit enter.

-

Reboot.

===============

After rebooting, rescan with hijackthis and post back a new log. Please let me know how your pc is now.

Log should be clean after the above :).

thx for taking a look @ my problem TIGER86, but I think that if I start listening to too many people @ the same time, I'm going to be more confused than I want to be...so for now I'm just going to listen to crunchie...thx again..

okay, so again I did like you asked and my system does seem to be faster than it was before, was getting upset cause i have 2g ram and 320 hard drive. I'm not getting the same pop-ups like before or random windows, but you know more than me...so here is the log and you can tell me what you think.......

Not seeing anything in that log now. Are you happy with the way your PC is now?

commented: I know this is a hijacked forum but my pc sort of was by so many invalid registry errors that Silent Runners found when I ran it and I wouldn't have ran it if I hadn't seen this board! +1

Hey Crunchie I just wanted to tell you I ran SR on my computer to detect a bunch of junk in my registry that I thought I had deleted a year ago and I cleaned it up and now my pc works better then ever! I reccomend running silentrunners at least once a month to keep your pc happy!

As long as one knows what to look for, it's all good :).

i wanted to thank you for posting this thread!! Combofix fixed my computer as well as silent runner!!! Thankyou so much

thx alot for the help crunchie...PC much better now......I just have one more question for you....on my PC I NOW have Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster, Ad-Aware SE, Combo Fix, Hijack This, Malawarebytes Anti-Malware, Windows Defender and windows Firewall.............DO I REALLY NEED ALL OF THESE?????

thx alot for the help crunchie...PC much better now......I just have one more question for you....on my PC I NOW have Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster, Ad-Aware SE, Combo Fix, Hijack This, Malawarebytes Anti-Malware, Windows Defender and windows Firewall.............DO I REALLY NEED ALL OF THESE?????

I would keep Spybot search and destroy and delete everything except windows defender and windows firewall that you listed cause the programs may fight each other causing problems. I would download AVG free by grisoft it does anti-virus and anti-spyware and I think it may do a firewall also. I know the new version has tons of extra stuff for the free version!

crunchie.....random windows are stating to open up again........can look @ this list again pls...

thx alot for the help crunchie...PC much better now......I just have one more question for you....on my PC I NOW have Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster, Ad-Aware SE, Combo Fix, Hijack This, Malawarebytes Anti-Malware, Windows Defender and windows Firewall.............DO I REALLY NEED ALL OF THESE?????

Spywareblaster is a must, just update it once a week. Combofix we will remove shortly as it is constantly updated. Keep spybot and MBAM and update them regularly.

========

Run combofix and MBAM again. Post the logs.

crunchie, sorry that it took so long.... heres the log from combofix...

PC seems to be a little bit slower than the last time, but so far so good...

Log is clean. Try giving it a defragment and see if that helps with the slowness.

Let's get rid of Combofix now that we are finished with it. Click START then RUN
Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

When shown the disclaimer, Select "2"

The above procedure will: Delete the following: ComboFix and its associated files and folders.
VundoFix backups, if present
The C:\Deckard folder, if present
The C:_OtMoveIt folder, if present

Reset the clock settings.
Hide file extensions, if required.
Hide System/Hidden files, if required.
Reset System Restore.

unable to do what you are asking with combofix.......I'm using VISTA......how do you do it???
