Post windows shortcuts you know here ...

I start with task manager shortcut --> ctrl + shift + Esc.

ctrl + shift + clicking on hyperlink - opens page in new window (works in firefox too!)

ctrl + click a file and then draging it creates a copy of that file.

Windows key + e Opens Windows Explorer

:o windows key + e is a useful one

Ctrl + R - Refresh webpage

Sorry I've corrected my previous post .... its like that :
ctrl + click a file and then draging it creates a copy of that file.

ctrl + shift + click a file and then draging it creates a shortcut of that file.

Alt + F4 close the window currently being used

or

If no windows are open then it brings you to a shut down screen

windows key + m minimizes all windows

F5

Refresh the open window

Thanks blem

Ctrl + F5

Refresh the open window

is that in IE ? if so, it is only F5

windows key + f open the search window

windows key + L locks your station

F9-Volume Up
F10-Volume Down

for editing:

ctrl + z -> undo
ctrl + x -> cut
ctrl + c -> copy
ctrl + v -> paste

ctrl + y - >Redo

in IE:

ctrl + h opens history
ctrl + f opens find window
ctrl + i opens favorites
ctrl + p opens print window
ctrl + b opens organize favorites window
backspace goes to previously viewed page

edit:

ctrl + n opens a perfect duplicate of your current page
(i think it is perfect because if you write in a textbox, all of its content will be copied)

ctrl + o opens the open file window

I start with task manager shortcut --> ctrl + shift + Esc.

I've always used ctrl + alt + delete to do that

F9-Volume Up
F10-Volume Down

These work only in WMP.

windows key + pause/break key opens up system properties.

in IE:

ctrl + h opens history
ctrl + f opens find window
ctrl + i opens favorites
ctrl + p opens print window
ctrl + b opens organize favorites window
backspace goes to previously viewed page

edit:

ctrl + n opens a perfect duplicate of your current page
(i think it is perfect because if you write in a textbox, all of its content will be copied)

I dont know why but ctrl + n doesnt give me a perfect duplicate anymore (it did it only once ! :confused: )

if multiple windows are opened:
alt + tab - will show the next page under the currently viewed one

Windows key + Pause/Break key = System Properties

shift + Backspace
in IE this will bring you forward in pages you visited
( already said Backspace was to go back )

Windows Key + D --> show desktop
It's similar to the minimize shortcut, but pressing windows + D again will bring everything back up, unlike the other.

ALT+f4 will shut the darn thing down so we can all get some sleep

already said

windows key + shift + M will show windows you minimized with win key+ M
