I have a HP Pavillion 404uk with 40GB hard drive and wondered if it would support an extra 40GB hard drive? I have already installed an extra 256mb memory and a DVD+re-writer, but because I use a video camera, my current hard drive can't handle it. When I purchased this computer, Windows XP was already installed and I didn't receive a backup. I have also installed sp2. So I figured that if I installed an extra hard drive, I wouldn't need to back-up anything already installed. Is this ok??
