I don't know if I hit a session timeout during editing of a post or what (probably - sesstion timeout could be too short), but I can take a while. I thought I saw a submit button once, and I clicked it, but my changes were gone.
then I saw the green check button. tried that, but no way to exit except cancel, and I suspect again that the content got lost after the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th edits (I really should do my editing in Notepad when working with posts on the web! a habit I have been meaning to start, but not consistent about yet).

edit seems to lose the submnit button, but keeps cancel.

You can only edit a post within the first 30 minutes after it is posted. After 30 minutes, the edit button goes away. However, if you click the edit button on an already-loaded page (and it has been more than 30 minutes), then only a Cancel button appears.
