My name is Tomoney

I am a postgraduate student majoring in Political Science. Within these three days I've got a job. Now I must combine my studies with this work. But it is of highly interest to me, since I apply all my knowledge in this field. The most interesting thing that I manage to combine all my knowledge in politics and international relations with new information technologies. It's so exciting, particularly, when you know that you can make virtual revolution and make all users be the owners of Internet data. I feel myself like Chegevara.... but .... still I need a lot of advices and knowledge that I can find from this site.
But I am mostly interested to acquire new friends with whom I can discuss everything (I also have some extra pounds) :$

Welcom to DaniWeb. If you want to talk politics you will get lots of responses in our Geek's Lounge. I don't know how IT can help you with that but please feel free to ask your questions.

No, not politics, please (though I can talk about it too ;)). I mentioned about the organization where I'm supposed to work, and one of its projects is, let me cite it (since I'm not strong in technical terminology) "Centralized data repository" (for details, SNIPPED). The thing is, that everybody can control it, and I, with my PS background, see very liberal perspectives, a smooth transition from autocracy to the principles of equity... But I doubt do I really understand all this staff, and the site I mentioned is not for me, but only for "IT elite"?

You mean to tell us that you're a grad student in Political Science and don't want to talk politics :icon_eek: That's ok though.

Where are you from ?

Yeah :icon_wink: , cause more u learn about politics less u wanna talk about it. Especially about "democracy". I see the future in IT, but lack knowledge in this field. But, for sure, I can apply my gained knowledge. I like mixing, experimenting. It would be cool, if I, after getting MA in political science, if I become IT specialist, or web designer.......... Or something in between :?:
